We deeply believe in the transformative power of yoga in trauma and recovery healing. We understand that financial barriers can often limit access to these healing practices. That's why we are thrilled to offer scholarships to make yoga more financially accessible to those in need.
The availability of scholarships is made possible through grants and charitable giving from our generous supporters. We rely on the funds we receive to allocate scholarships and support individuals who may not have the means to participate in our programs otherwise.
We strive to make scholarships available to as many deserving individuals as possible, but it's important to note that the availability of funds is dependent on the grants and donations we receive. As the support from our community grows, we hope to expand the number of scholarships we can offer and reach even more individuals who can benefit from the healing and transformative power of yoga.
We are immensely grateful to our supporters who make these scholarships possible, as their contributions directly impact the lives of individuals seeking healing, recovery, and personal growth. Together, we are creating opportunities for those who may otherwise not have access to these valuable resources, and we are committed to continuing this work with the support of our compassionate community.
Yoga for Recovery Foundation (YFR) offers scholarships for people who have suffered from trauma. The intention is to make yoga accessible to individuals who may not have the financial means to participate in our programs. When applying for a scholarship, it is important to provide specific and detailed information about your financial situation to help YFR assess your eligibility.
In addition to financial need, YFR also recognizes the importance of supporting marginalized groups within the yoga community. Our benefactors and grantors often allocate funds specifically for these communities. If you identify as BIPOC, LGBTQ, or as a member of a group that is often overlooked in the yoga community, it is beneficial to highlight this information in your scholarship application.
It is crucial to thoroughly and accurately complete the scholarship form, providing all the necessary details and specifying the programs and classes you are interested in. Lack of specificity or incomplete information may result in disqualification, so it is advisable to ensure that you have a clear understanding of the programs you wish to be considered for before filling out the scholarship form.
It is important to note that while YFR strives to provide scholarships to deserving individuals, funding is not guaranteed. The availability of funds is dependent on the donations, grants, and charitable giving received by YFR. Therefore, the number and extent of scholarships awarded may vary based on the funds available at the time of application.

Funds provided through scholarships go directly to the program facilitators and not to the individual recipients. This ensures that the allocated funds are used to support the programs and cover expenses such as teacher costs, facilities, and materials.
To maintain the integrity of the scholarship program, it is crucial that applicants only apply for programs they are genuinely committed to attending.
Applicants should carefully consider interest, commitment, and availability before applying for a scholarship.
This is a general scholarship form for programs outside of the ones directly offered by YFR Foundation. For scholarships specific to YFR programs, please visit our programs tab on our menu.
